A vehicle's prior title documents the prior owner's ownership of the vehicle

A title is a vehicle's ownership document.  

A vehicle's Prior Title is the document that proves who owned a vehicle before you bought it.

In order to register and title a vehicle in your name (or in the name of your LLC), you must submit the vehicle's Prior Title, properly signed by the vehicle's prior owner, and free of liens.
